Our Services

Are you searching for the ideal childcare solution tailored to your family's needs and preferences? Look no further. At St Pancras Recruitment, we offer a wide range of childcare options to match your specific requirements.

Whether you need live-out or live-in nannies, rota nannies, after-school nannies, weekend support, or specialised nanny/tutors and governesses for academic development, we have the perfect fit for your family. Our services extend beyond childcare, with nanny/personal assistants helping with administrative tasks and nanny/housekeepers caring for your children and home.

For those looking to share costs and responsibilities, we offer nanny shares, and for expectant parents, our maternity nurses focus on newborns. Your family's unique needs deserve a personalised childcare solution, and we're here to make that happen.

We’ll discuss your family’s requirements, interests, and parenting style in order to match you with the most suitable nannies on our books.

Nannies

Nannies provide complete care for the children in the employer’s home and perform all tasks that correlate to the care of the children. The nanny will create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where the children can flourish. Duties may vary from one position to another as you may have different priorities depending on the age of the children. At St Pancras Recruitment, we strive to match you with a nanny who can embody your family’s values, traditions and needs.

We highly recommend that your children get exposure to a different language from an early age. This critical period in their development makes them more receptive to learning new words and sounds.

It isn’t a legal requirement to have a childcare qualification in order to work as a nanny in the UK. However, many courses and qualifications are available.

If you would like to be present during all or most interactions between your nanny and your child, you could hire a mother’s help. A mother's help is expected to do most things a nanny would do with children but usually under the supervision of the mother.

It is also possible to hire a nanny/housekeeper who can be in charge of your child as well as your house. Please contact us on 0207 183 4235 so that we can advise you.

Housekeepers

Housekeepers provide professional services such as cleaning, laundry and sometimes running errands. You can hire a housekeeper on a full-time or part-time basis and choose to have a live-in or live-out housekeeper.

Main Domestic Duties

Keeping all areas of the home clean and tidy, including tasks such as washing, dusting, polishing, vacuum cleaning and sweeping

Ensuring that all cleaning equipment/ materials are maintained for a safe, clean and efficient working environment

Wearing protective clothing (please have a look at COSHH guidelines on  for more information)

Main Laundry Duties

Sorting washing, loading and unloading the washing machine, taking care to use the correct temperature depending on the types of fabric. Hand-washing for delicate clothes

Drop clothes to the dry cleaner when needed

Ironing and tiding away clothes

The employer is responsible for the cost of the cleaning materials and equipment. It is possible to hire a housekeeper who can also take on cooking duties so the same employee prepares the family meals.  When it comes to organising lunch and dinner events with guests, we recommend hiring a private chef.

Having a bilingual nanny will add an incredible gift to your child’s development.

Types Of Nannies

Live-out nannies

Our live-out nannies will live close to you or within a reasonable commute of your home.

Live-in nannies

Our live-in nannies will need their own bedroom in your house and privacy when ‘off-duty’. Many families will also offer a separate bathroom and, if possible, living space and some families offer separate accommodation to attract a more experienced live-in nanny.

Rota nannies

Our live-out nannies will live close to you or within a reasonable commute of your home.

After school nannies

We know it’s not always possible to leave work early to meet your children at the school gates. That’s why many parents employ after-school nannies. Your after-school nanny can also arrive earlier at your home to cook the children’s meals before collecting them from school.

Weekend nannies

Weekend nannies help you over the weekend. They can start their work on Friday night and finish their shift on Monday morning or help you on Saturday and/ or Sunday only. This is a great way to get some rest or have an extra pair of hands for busy families.

Nanny/ Tutor

A nanny/tutor is a specialist nanny who can help your children academically.

Governess

Governesses prepare daily lessons and organise a timetable for coursework. Some governesses will prepare children’s meals and clean up after. A governess organises educational outings and will play with the children in a fun and educational way. They are more suitable for older children.

Nanny/ Personal Assistant

Nanny/PAs help you with some admin when not looking after your children. They can help with holiday bookings, birthday parties, sorting mail and shopping.

Nanny/ Housekeeper

Nanny/housekeepers will look after your children and have allocated time to clean your house.

Nanny share

This economical option allows families to share the costs of hiring a professional nanny.

Maternity nurses

Our maternity nurses focus on newborn babies. They can also help during late-stage pregnancy, providing care for the expectant mum in a hospital or home setting.
